Pre Flight is a training app for cadet-pilot selection aptitude tests. It is designed to work offline and to collect as little data as possible.
Your progress (scores, levels, XP, daily streak, sound settings, Premium status) is saved locally on your device only. We have no access to it. Deleting the app deletes this data.
To display the "you beat X% of candidates" percentile, the app may send to our database (Supabase): a random device identifier (UUID, not linked to your identity), the game played, the score and the level. The app may also send anonymous usage events tied to the same random identifier (e.g. app open, session start and end, subscription screen view, target selection choice), used solely to understand what is useful and improve the app. No personal data (name, e-mail, location) is collected.
The free version may display ads through Google AdMob. On iOS, ad personalization is only enabled if you accept it through Apple's consent prompt (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, non-personalized ads are shown. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve ads — see the Google Privacy Policy. The Premium subscription removes all ads.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) and our subscription management provider RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous purchase receipt to validate the subscription. We never see your payment details. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
The daily reminder is a local notification, scheduled on your device; no data leaves the device for this. You can turn it off in iOS Settings.
Legal basis: performance of the contract for the Premium subscription (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), your consent for personalized ads (Apple's ATT prompt), and our legitimate interest for the anonymous scores and events used for ranking and app improvement (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Retention: local data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. Anonymous scores and events are kept for a maximum of 24 months, then deleted or aggregated.
Your rights: local data is under your control (deleting the app erases it). Scores and events that are sent are tied to a random identifier that is not linked to your identity and is never displayed anywhere — so we cannot find "your" data or connect it to you. For any question or request (access, deletion), write to us at aminekara01@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
The app is aimed at cadet-pilot selection candidates (generally 16 and older) and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
This policy may evolve with the app (e.g. if online rankings are added). The update date at the top of this page prevails.
