- AFOQT: Air Force officer applicants. It mixes knowledge and aptitude subtests.
- TBAS: Air Force pilot and RPA pilot candidates, in addition to the AFOQT. Both feed the PCSM score.
- ASTB-E: Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aviation applicants.
- SIFT: Army aviation applicants, including ROTC aviation cadets.
Your recruiter or programme confirms which test applies to you. A practice routine for one test is not a routine for all four.
What each test measures, and where the app helps
| Test | Official description | Exercises to open in Brain Preflight | Not covered by the app |
|---|---|---|---|
| AFOQT | 12 subtests, including table reading, instrument comprehension and block counting. | Calculation grid, Logic sequences, Same or not, Cube nets, Stacks and 3D objects | Instrument comprehension, table lookup, block counting, verbal and knowledge subtests. |
| TBAS | Psychomotor, spatial ability and multi-tasking; nine subtests, about 1 h 15. | Psychomotor, Airways, 2-back memory, Shapes & colors, 3D objects and Cube nets | The testing-station controls and scoring. |
| ASTB-E | Maths, reading, mechanical and aviation knowledge, plus performance-based tracking, spatial and listening tasks. | Calculation grid, Logic sequences, Cube nets, 3D objects, Stacks, Psychomotor, Airways and Shapes & colors | Dichotic listening, reading, mechanical and aviation knowledge. |

All four routines are independent practice. They are not copies of official items, and app scores do not convert into test scores.
